KCM Showcased Asset Protection Drive at CEO Integrity Forum to Promote Integrity and Responsible Mining
Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) Plc showcased its ongoing “Protect Our Assets” initiative during the CEO Integrity Forum held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
The initiative highlighted KCM’s commitment to operational integrity, accountability, and responsible mining. It emphasized the company’s efforts to encourage employees to actively safeguard its assets in support of sustainable mining practices, long-term value creation, and national economic growth.
Speaking during a tour of the KCM exhibition stand, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Head of Stakeholder Relations, Dr. John Kunda, explained to the Guest of Honour, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet Dr. Oliver M. Kalabo, and other delegates that the company had been implementing practical measures to protect its assets, strengthen internal control systems, and promote a culture of accountability across all operations.
Dr. Kunda stressed that asset protection was a shared responsibility and remained essential to operational efficiency, value preservation, and the long-term sustainability of the mine for employees, surrounding communities, and the country as a whole.
He noted that the initiative aligned with national priorities on integrity and responsible resource management, reflecting KCM’s broader governance framework and corporate philosophy.
He further emphasized that employee commitment continued to play a critical role in safeguarding KCM’s legacy as a strategic national asset.
