Building of $680m Ndola cement plant set

THE construction of a cement plant in Ndola at a cost of about US$680 million is expected to start this year after the completion of the drilling exercise to check the reserves, ZCCM-Investment Holding (IH) chief executive officer Pius Kasolo has said.
ZCCM-IH anticipates the construction of the plant to take two to three years once all finances are put in place and the feasibility studies are completed.
In an interview on Thursday in Kapiri Mposhi, Dr Kasolo said the project is huge and will significantly contribute to the cement sub-sector.

Beaucoup de projets, ...et Ndola Lime qui perd de l'argent de façon récurrente...
Il (CEO) devrait plutôt se mettre au travail pour faire rentrer la part des bénéfices des minières avant de vouloir dépenser (investir??) autant d'argent.

Avec un peu ( beaucoup ...) de chance, ils ne trouveront pas de banquier assez kamikaze pour plonger dans la baignoire ....Mais comme le dossier est politique, on peut s'attendre à un bouclage effectif , avec à la clé des clauses de garanties bancaires déclenchables au moindre pépin et que ZCCM ( seul actionnaire solvable de la boîte) mettra des décennies à apurer .
Le board de ZCCM aura-t-il son mot à dire à ce sujet ?
