The Kuala Lumpur Tin Market is likely to be lower next week amid growing concerns over global economic recovery.

A dealer said that uncertainties in the overseas markets would make it difficult to predict the price for this week. Fears over weak growth in the US market and worries about euro debt crisis may dampen investor sentiment.

KLTM fell by USD 950 to end the week at USD 24,950 per tonne while the London Metal Exchange tin dropped by USD 800 per tonne to USD 24,910 per tonne.

Total weekly turnover fell to 210 tonnes from 248 tonnes previously with the participation from the Japanese, European and local traders. The price differential between the KLTM and the LME narrowed to a premium of USD 430 per tonne, from USD 580 per tonne last week.
