Zambia copper refinery expansion nears completion
JOHANNESBURG, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Zambia's Konkola Copper Mines, a unit of London-listed Vedanta Resources Plc (VED.L) has resumed operations at the Nchanga smelter, which was shut down in September for maintenance, the company said on Thursday.
KCM spokesman Rahur Kharkar said the operations of the 300,000 tonnes per year smelter resumed after completing the maintenance works.
"The Nchanga smelter is now back in full production," Kharkar told Reuters. (Editing by Shapi Shacinda)
