Zambia cobalt plant to restart output in two weeks

LUSAKA - Zambia's largest cobalt producer Chambishi Metals Plc will restart production in two weeks time when suppliers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are expected to deliver cobalt concentrates, it said on Wednesday.

Operations at Chambishi were suspended in December and were due to restart in September, but CE Derek Webbstock said the start would be delayed for two weeks to allow mines in the DRC to deliver the raw materials.
